Big question: What to do, what to do

There are many areas in our lives where we face the problem of "What should I do?  Right now, let's consider three of the "biggies." Yes, these real problems for all of us…Christian and non Christian alike.

Problem: To do what we want to do, rather than what God wants us to do.  Jesus said it well (John 6:38) "I come…not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me." So, "Do your own thing" is deadly. This is the normal way of life to those who are not trying to follow God…and it continues to work on all of us who are Christians too!

Problem: To believe what we want to believe, rather than what God's word, and the message is heard although the word of Christ.  We are deceived when we decide that we should believe whatever we want to believe. In Galatians 6:7 God says: Do not be deceived, God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows." II Corinthians 10:18 "It is not the one who commends himself that is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends."
