LDCC receives Dow grant to fund STEM Boot Camp posted Thursday, September 20th, 2012 @ 12:00 pm  E-mail Story |  Print Story  Louisiana Delta Community College is keeping up with advances in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics education with help from its long-time partner, Dow. LA Delta has been awarded a grant in the amount of $10,000 through the DowGIVES Louisiana Community Grant Program, an annual competitive grant program designed to support projects which impact STEM education, economic development or sustainability. The grant was awarded primarily to fund the STEM Boot Camp, a new program LA Delta will launch this school year. Ellen Hill, Dean of Special Programs at LA Delta, wrote the grant application for the Boot Camp, which will partner with the Ouachita Parish School System and Dow to help the school expand its STEM training. .....
