Vikings top 7-on-7 action Nine Louisiana high schools made the trek to Rebel Stadium this past weekend to take part in the first ever West Monroe High School 7-on-7 football tournament. Each varsity team took part in six pool games to determine the seeds for the double elimination tournament. Junior varsity teams played five games in pool play.
The Airline Vikings were the big winners of the weekend. Airline went 6-0 in pool play and 4-0 in the tournament including defeated the Ruston Bearcats in the championship game.
Other high school squads taking part in the tournament included Delhi Charter, Tioga, Pineville, Riverfield Academy, Neville, West Monroe and Ouachita Christian.
Due to a baseball tournament, the Ouachita Christian Eagles took to the field minus most of their starting personnel. Even still, OCS Football Coach Steven Fitzhugh was pleased with the performance of his young guys.

The Airline Vikings won the first ever WM 7 on 7 tournament going undefeated in ten games.
