Monroe Dixie Youth All-Stars teams announced

This past weekend, the All-Star Dixie Youth Baseball season kicked off with the first Sub-District Tournament held at the East Ouachita Recreation District (EORD) in Swartz.

The EORD, West Monroe Dixie Youth and Monroe Dixie Youth leagues are putting the final touches on their rosters for the various age divisions that will represent the leagues in All-Star season.

The All-Star season vary according to age group. Some age groups will compete in Sub-District Tournaments before heading to the DistrictTournament later in the month followed by a Regional Tournament and then State Tournament. The dates and location of these tournaments vary according to the age group of the players participating.

The 12-year old Sub-District Tournament will take place on June 30th with Morehouse Parish serving as the host site. The Leagues participating in the Sub-District Tournament include West Monroe-North, West Monroe-South, Calhoun, Monroe-A, Monroe-N, EORD – A and EORD –N.

The District Tournament for the 12-Year old Division will take place on July 7th in Winnsboro, LA with the regional tournament taking place on July 20th-24th in Alexandria. The StateTournament will also take place in Alexandria on July 27th – 28th.
