Changes coming in disorder treatment Dwindling state coffers means local governments must pay a larger part of the bill to treat addictive disorders.
Officials with the state Office of Behavioral Health say OBH is moving toward a less state-involved approach in treating addiction and that puts more responsibility on local governing bodies to pick up the expenses.
Officials with the state Department of Health and Hospitals discussed the changes at a public forum in Monroe late last week.
