49th annual Miss Louisiana kicks off
Young women from across Louisiana will descend on the Monroe Civic Center this weekend in pursuit of their dreams.
The 36 women will take part in the 49th Annual Miss Louisiana Pageant at the W.L. Jack Howard Theatre. The competition begins Thursday night.
"They've been in rehearsals since Monday," said pageant Vice President Darris Waren.
