Nevertheless, lawmakers considered almost 2,000 bills, and the measures the Legislature approved will impact the state in a variety of ways. Among the more significant changes receiving little attention during the session were significant reforms to the state's criminal justice system. Sen. Bob Kostelka said one of his bills amended the law to make failure to report a missing child a felony instead of a misdemeanor. .....
