The dust is just beginning to settle from the action of the 2012 regular legislative session.

After a fast and furious start, when Gov. Bobby Jindal's education reform plan sped through like a runaway train, the action slowed.

It picked up pace again when dissension arose over the use of non-recurring revenues to balance the budget and proposed changes to the way funds from the Minimum Foundation Program could be used.

Ultimately, though, both measures passed in the last hours of the session.
