Refuge to host program Black Bayou Lake National Wildlife Refuge is offering summer youth programs.
Wildlife Ambassadors, our week-long summer day camp for children entering third through fifth grades next fall, will be June 11-15 from 8:30-11:30 a.m.
Each day will feature different groups of wildlife and include time in the discovery room, time outside collecting and/or studying wildlife, related craft project and snack. The camp program is free, but children must be registered and a permission form filled out by parent. Wildlife Ambassadors is limited to 20.
Parents may call 387-1114 or come to the refuge visitor center to register their children for any of the summer programs.
Parents who will be leaving their children must fill out and sign a permission form. Black Bayou Lake National Wildlife Refuge is located just north of Monroe off Hwy 165 on Richland Place.
