The Strauss Youth Academy for the Arts (SYAA) will offer six workshops this summer for children ages 5-12, and two arts day camp sessions for ages 8-14. Camp sessions begin next week and will continue through June 29. Workshops begin June 11. The SYAA offers comprehensive programming in the arts for youth in Northeast Louisiana. With their mission of providing education, instruction and training to youth and children in the performing arts, SYAA workshop director Cathy Airhart Webb said these workshops are a great way for children to spend their summer instead of sitting around all day. .....
