Symphony hosts 'Pines and a Premier' The Monroe Symphony Orchestra celebrates the world premier of Roger Jones's latest composition, "Live Oak," which will debut at the symphony's "Pines and a Premier" concert event.
The concert is scheduled for March 24 at the Jack Howard Theatre.
Jones is a composer and conductor familiar to Monroe. He served as director of the school of music at the University of Louisiana-Monroe until his retirement.
Jones has previously composed original music for the Monroe Symphony.
