Rebels succsesfull on diamond - Lady Rebels off to a 9-1 start, WM baseball 8-4
 The West Monroe baseball and softball teams are looking like postseason contenders as wrap up their pre-district schedules.
The Lady Rebels (10-1, 1-0) are currently ranked number one in Class 5A in the latest power rankings by www.kenramsey.com.
The Ruston Lady Bearcats (5-10, 0-1) were the latest victims to the Lady Rebels falling 15-1 in the district opener for both teams this past Tuesday at Ruston.
The road ahead will be a tough test for the West Monroe softball team as they face a difficult road trip.
Over the next week, the Lady Rebels will travel to face Pineville (9-2, 0-1) in the "Battle of the Lady Rebels" on Thursday. On Friday and Saturday, West Monroe will head to Southwest Louisiana to take part in the Sulphur Lady Tors Invitational Tournament.
