The Richwood Rams (31-6) hit the key shots down the stretch to secure the school's fifth Class 3A state championship in their 67-55 win over the Bossier Bearkats (33-3).

The Class 3A boys' basketball state championship game lived up to the hype of a classic number one, Bossier, versus number two, Richwood, showdown in front of 6,000 at Louisiana Tech's Thomas Assembly Center.

With 21 points, 7 rebounds and 2 steals, Richwood's Reginal Johnson was named the game's Most Valuable Player.

Close behind Johnson on the MVP ballot was Remond Brown who had 20 points, 6 rebounds, 7 steals and 4 assists for the Rams (31-6).

Richwood Chris Ellis nailed four 3-pointers with two of them coming in the final minutes of the game.
