Wendy Lynnet Hammons Alexander
Funeral services for Wendy Lynnet Hammons Alexander, age 45, were at 10 a.m. Monday, March 5, 2012, at First United Methodist Church of Monroe. Reverend Jo Ann Cooper and Reverend Larry Stafford officiated. Interment followed at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of Monroe.

Wendy was born Nov. 9, 1966, in Monroe, and passed away March 2, 2012, in Monroe surrounded by her family and dear friends. She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church. She cherished her work as an occupational therapist and enjoyed new friends she acquired through her work. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Hammons, and niece, Amy Hill.

She is survived by her beloved husband of nine years, Ron Alexander of Monroe; mother, Delores Skiles Hammons of Monroe; sister, Donna Price and her husband, David of Phoenix, Ariz.; brother, Stephen Earl Hammons of Phoenix, Ariz.; nephew, Sean Hammons and wife, Tara, and daughter London of Monroe; niece, Brooke Hammons and her son, Taylor; uncle, Tommy Hammons; and aunt, Lucile Outz; stepson, Jeremy Alexander and his wife, Sarah, and children, Audrey and Jack; stepdaughter, Katie Bennett and husband, Amos, and son, Jared Meaux; and her dear friends, Holly Gay, Kris Mancil, Wendy Langley, and her treasured feline baby boy, "Yellakat".

Pallbearers were Sean Hammons, David Gay, Robby Sanders, Lester G. Langley, Jeremy Alexander, Jay Atkins and Amos Bennett.

Visitation was 5-7 p.m. Sunday, March 4, at Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of Monroe.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society for Cats in Wendy's name.

Doris May Aulds, 89, of West Monroe, passed away Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012. Her funeral was at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Burial was at Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe.

William D. "Billy" Brown III
William D. "Billy" Brown III, 80, of Monroe, attorney and former lawmaker, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2012.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 9, 2012, at Grace Episcopal Church. Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. until service time at Kilbourne Hall at Grace Episcopal Church under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Betty Lou Wallingsford
Betty Lou Wallingsford, 72, of Eros, passed away Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012. Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Interment was at Riverview Cemetery in Monroe.
