Haik Humble welcomes renowned doctor

Dr. Shalesh Kaushal, nationally recognized for his work and research in diseases of the retina, has joined Haik Humble Eye Center of Monroe, West Monroe and Rayville. Dr Kaushal has his M.D. degree from John Hopkins and his Ph.D. in biochemistry from M.I.T.

In addition to years of private practice specializing in surgical diseases of the retina, diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration, Dr. Kaushal has held key positions in academia. Most recently, he was Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Massachusetts. He has also served as assistant professor of ophthalmology and director of Vitreoretinal Services at the University of Florida's College of Medicine.
