YouTube video stokes controversy
A video has surfaced on the Internet depicting what appears to be a campaign staffer for one candidate for Monroe mayor defiling Mayor Jamie Mayo's campaign headquarters.
In the video, posted on the Internet video site YouTube, a man who appears to be Robert Powell III can be seen urinating on a wall, a flowerbed and campaign signs at Mayo's headquarters on Stubbs Avenue.
Powell is communications director for Johnny Riley's campaign for mayor. Riley is a former Mayo administration official who resigned from a position with Louisiana Workforce Commission to challenge Mayo in the March 24 primary.
