The L.B. Faulk Post 13 of the American Legion is looking for new members to bolster its membership rolls.

The American Legion began following World War I as a means of trying to take care of the veterans and their families following war.

"It's not exactly a social order," said post commander Bill Miller. "It was designed to help take care of veterans' benefits."

A service officer can serve as a liaison between a veteran or his family and the Veterans' Administration.
