A local woman is hoping that a cookie fundraiser will help save lives, including the life of her husband.

Charles Tagge was diagnosed with stage four esophageal cancer just eight months ago. His wife Christina is selling homemade cookies in jars in an effort to support her family and to spread the word about at least one potential cause of esophageal cancer.

"Charles was a long-haul truck driver and provided well for me and our three kids," Christina says. "Until he is able to work again, I will try my best to help provide for our children."
