Sterlington students garner state-wide honors

Two Sterlington High School seniors have placed first in separate statewide arts competitions.

Senior Taylor Wolff won the English-Speaking Union's National Shakespeare Competition, and will move on to the national contest in New York City later this spring. Meanwhile, 19-year-old Richie Smith took top honors in the senior category of the George Rodrigue Art Contest Awards.

Taylor is the daughter of Michael and Priscilla Wolff. Richie's parents are Dwaine and Nita Smith.
