On Tuesday night, eight parish boys basketball teams took to the court hoping to dance all the way to Ruston - site of the LHSAA basketball state championships.

After all was said and done, six teams remain in the playoffs

In Class 5A, number two seeded Ouachita had little trouble disposing of the Jesuit Blue Jays at home. The Lions roared to a 89-49 bi-district victory.

The Lions will have to travel in the second round as they face number eighteen seeded Bonnabel Bruins.

The Bruins upset fifteenth seeded Lafayette Lions 57-34 on the road to earn their trip to the regional round.
