Counselor's Corner: Dealing with death, grief By Susan Aulds Special to The Citizen
It has been said that there are only two things certain in life: death and taxes. We are constantly surrounded by death in the media, the news, in our schools, and in our lives. Even though death surrounds us daily, it remains one of the most uncomfortable topics to discuss among people of all ages.
Everybody will have to deal with death at some point in their lives. Many times, those that lose loved ones are left to face their pain alone. People should be encouraged to express their thoughts and experiences surrounding the issue of death. Life becomes more fulfilling when we feel free to think about and talk honestly about death.
