Former WM Rebel Clowers earns preseason honor
 ULM infielder Caleb Clowers has been named to the Preseason All-Sun Belt Conference baseball team, the conference office announced Friday.
A senior from West Monroe, Clowers was a member of the 2011 Rawlings Gold Glove team after committing just one error in 54 games last season, finishing one percentage point behind Connecticut's Mike Nemeth for the national lead in fielding percentage (.996).
He was fourth on the Warhawks with a .287 batting average and added 11 doubles, three home runs, 39 RBIs and 32 runs scored. Clowers was named co-second baseman of the Preseason All-SBC team with South Alabama's Logan Kirkland.
Rounding out the infield selections were Florida Atlantic's Mike Albaladejo (catcher), FIU's Mike Martinez (first base), Troy's Tyler Hannah (shortstop) and Middle Tennessee's Hank LaRue (third base).
The three outfielders named to the team were Alex Hudak (Florida Atlantic), Pablo Bermudez (FIU) and Justin Guidry (Middle Tennessee). FIU's Rudy Flores was chosen as the conference's designated hitter.
