Prep soccer season ends after 2nd round

Eleven parish soccer teams qualified for the 2012 soccer playoffs this season. Unfortunately, none of them made it past the second round.

In Division 1, West Monroe earned the number nineteen seed which required the Rebels to travel four hours to play the Fontainebleau Bulldogs in the first round of the playoffs. West Monroe put up a good fight but came up a little short falling to the Bulldogs 3-1.

The West Monroe Lady Rebels soccer team faired a little better earning an eleven seed and a home playoff game against the St. Amant Lady Gators. Thanks to three goals by , the Lady Rebels quickly dispersed St. Amant 4-1.

With the win, West Monroe had to travel for the second round against the same school that eliminated the boys' team – the Fontainebleau Lady Bulldogs. The road was just as unkind to the Lady Rebels as the fell 5-0 to the Lady Bulldogs.
