Thomas makes fifth bid for mayor

EDITOR'S NOTE: This is the last in a series of articles on the candidates for Monroe mayor.

Clint Thomas is hopeful that five times will be the charm.

The Monroe native and small business owner is making his fifth challenge to become Monroe's next mayor.

"I want better lives for our people in Monroe," said Thomas, age 47.
If elected, Thomas said he would immediately begin correcting what he sees as bad governing at City Hall.

"The main thing at the moment is fighting corruption in our city government," Thomas said.
