St. Francis goes red In recognition of National Wear Red Day, babies born at St. Francis Medical Center on Friday, Feb. 3 sported special red beanies provided by the hospital and the American Heart Association.
The event was held in support of national "Go Red" day, to promote women's heart health.
Also on Friday,St. Francis hosted a "Lunch and Learn" for the community in an effort to educate women about the prevention of heart disease.
Dr. D.H. Clark, a board certified Lipidologist, was on hand to present attendees with information about better heart health and the problems faced by individuals at risk or currently suffering heart disease.
Both events were held in conjunction with national Wear Red Day, a day of observance that seeks to promote women's heart health. |
