The Town of Sterlington will send an inspector to examine a property improvement believed to violate a zoning ordinance.

The Board of Aldermen went into executive session Tuesday night at its regular meeting to discuss the town's on-going property dispute with Dewey Brown.

Brown owns a rental property with a mobile home at 428 Paige Circle.

Brown had applied for and received a permit to add a carport to the mobile home. Town officials say the addition essentially turned the structure into a duplex, in violation of its single-family zoning status.
