Calhoun High plans all-class reunion Calhoun High School will celebrate its 125-year anniversary with an all-classes reunion on Saturday, April 28, 2012.
Events will include tours of the school building and grounds, a barbecue lunch catered by Danken Trail a free-throw contest in the Lovett Gym, election of new officers and music from the 1930s through the 1980s, led by Dixieland DJ. Attendees are encouraged to bring pictures and other memorabilia. Items already collected for a future Calhoun Museum will also be shared, including yearbooks and pictures. Trophies are on display at the school in honor of the numerous award-winning sports teams over the years.
Former teachers, coaches and staff will be guests of honor. Tickets for alumni and their guests are $25 each, with funds used to cover meal, advertising, printing and other costs associated with the event. .....For the full story, subscribe to the The Ouachita Citizen's NEW E-Edition! |
