Bobby Bowden Reflects on football, family & faith at WM Foundation Event
Over 400 people attended the West Monroe High School Foundation's "Reflections on Life, Faith and Football with Bobby Bowden" at the West Monroe Convention Center on Tuesday, February 7th.
This event serves as the West Monroe High School Foundation sole fundraising event of the year.
"We want to provide a safe and quality education for our kids," Kenny Guillot Chairman of the West Monroe High School Foundation said. "We are an organization for all students at West Monroe High School."
Coach Bowden started off his speech by reflecting on his past and how football and family played an important role in his success.
Coach Bowden stated that when he arrived at Florida State he couldn't give tickets away to the games. He even mentioned a time when he went to the local mall and left two complementary tickets on the wind shield of his car while he went into the mall to see if anyone would take them.
When he returned from his shopping trip, there were six tickets lefts on the windshield.
