Signing Day - 20 Parish athletes sign to play at next level

Ouachita Parish capped its historic prep football season with "National Signing Day" on February 1st at several high schools.

With three state championships, one state runner up and seven out of ten
teams making it to the post season, this year's college recruit class has veteran experience to compete at the next level.

As report first in the December 8th edition of the Ouachita Citizen, Ouachita Parish was the first parish in the history of the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) to send three teams to the state championship game in the same year.

After all the pomp and glory, 20 young men from Ouachita Parish signed to play football at the next level on National Signing Day.

No doubt, we will enjoy watching each of these student athletes competing on Saturdays as they learn and develope the skills necessary to lead our community in the future.
