Tire dumping problematic in two PJ districts The illegal dumping of tires on property in several Ouachita Parish neighborhoods continues to pose a problem for two members of the Ouachita Parish Police Jury.
Police jurors Pat Moore and Dr. Ollibeth Reddix have dumping sites in their districts, and they are hoping the Police Jury will take steps to put an end to tire dumping in the areas of the parish they represent.
At a recent Police Jury meeting, Reddix discussed efforts at a site near J.S. Clark Cemetery.
Reddix said the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office had put up a surveillance camera to catch any would-be litterbugs on the lot adjacent to the cemetery.
