Optimism for the future continues to grow With the warm weather that has accompanied the beginning of 2012 we are seeing signs of commercial development emerging on the landscape. New developments are in the planning stage and restaurants and companies are making a move. As the economy continues to slowly improve, optimism for the future continues to grow. Look for 2012 to continue the trend set in 2011 which witnessed a return to normal activity in the commercial real estate market.
Several of you have asked what was happening with the former Central Printers building at 4507 Whites Ferry Road, West Monroe. The 25,000 SF building has been purchased by T&D Partners LLC for $255,000, which included a small residence. The purchase was completed in late November, 2011. The property is in the process of extensive renovation and will become the new home of Cajun Pawn which is presently located on Cypress Street in West Monroe. This will be the largest pawn shop in Northeast Louisiana. The sale was negotiated by Al Peterson with John Rea Realty.
