The Sterlington Panthers boys and girls basketball teams find themselves in similar situations as the District 2-2A season reaches its midpoint.

Both teams are 3-2 in district play, and the district championship is still there
for the taking provided Sterlington wins out its remaining schedule.

Both squads opened district play with convincing victories over Ferriday only to fall on the road to Jonesboro Hodge and Lakeside.

Last Friday night, Sterlington got back on the winning track with a key district
sweep of the Homer Pelicans.
