Police jurors juggle drainage, road issues

The Ouachita Parish Police Jury will need to find $1 million to repair drainage and surface issues on Oak Circle in the Town and Country subdivision.

Meanwhile, engineers with the Police Jury public works department will assess the repair needs of Sparks Drive in eastern Ouachita Parish.

Sparks Drive has not seen improvements or repairs in more than 35 years, according to long-time resident Ralph Karst.

Karst was among more than two dozen people on hand Monday night at the Police Jury's regular meeting to request that the Police Jury take a look at the conditions of their streets.
