Arrests made in northside burglaries
Two arrests were made in a pair of unrelated home burglaries in northern Monroe.
Last week, Monroe police officers responded to a 911 call in which a homeowner reported he was holding an intruder at gunpoint. A second arrest occurred over the weekend where officers found the suspect of another home burglary hiding in a neighbor's bushes.
In both cases, the suspects were armed.
Monroe Police Department officials did not return repeated calls requesting comment on the arrests.
