Hi-Lite Bruton was looking forward to a long and prosperous career with the NBA in 1994.

Bruton was a standout at Benedict College when the Chicago Bulls drafted him to play guard on Michael Jordan's Bulls squad.

"I was there," said Bruton. "I practiced with him."

Bruton suffered a career-ending injury in a practice session before he ever took to the planks for the Bulls. He spent a few years traveling Europe and Asia in the professional leagues there.
