Dianne Cage: Jan. 12, 2012 No, I did not make a new year's resolution. I really try every day to do my very best, give the day my best shot! When I fail, I immediately try to do better. This life is a work in progress. I am going to lose 10 pounds, that is a promise to me. What a good time the 2011 holidays were, from the good wine to eggnog to fruit cake, hogs head cheese, duck pate, good cheese, cheese straw, toasted pecans, candy, it was all fun but I can hardly wait for the old Cabbage Soup. ********************** Every morning when I wake up, the very first thing I do is say my prayers. Paul tells us to give thanks in all circumstances. I thank God for all my blessings and ask him to let me serve him my very best that day. I pray for all our children, grandchildren, our friends and family, all our deceased family and friends, reduced global warming, congress and our elected officials, the dogs, the birds, my garden.
Matthew says that out Father knows what we need and want before we ask him but I ask him anyway, just to make sure. I ask God for so much, surely he does not have time for just me, that is why I know he has lots of angels here on earth. This is one of my favorite stories I want to share with you! .....For the full story, subscribe to the The Ouachita Citizen's NEW E-Edition!
