Cultura closes out 2011 with special meetings Cultura Book Club of West Monroe ended 2011 with two special meetings. The first gathering on November 7th was held at the Ouachita Valley meeting room of the Ouachita Parish Public Library.
Montez Branch, Vice President, opened the meeting and introduced Lora Peppers. Lora is an employee of the library and gave a very informative talk on the History of West Monroe. She had many slides depicting West Monroe's early years. Her talk included several interesting people who influenced the growth of West Monroe. Discussion was held after Lora's talk as the presentation was enjoyed by all.
