Krewe of Janus set to roll Feb. 11
It's time to let the good times roll again.
The Krewe of Janus Mardi Gras Parade will take to the streets Feb. 11.
This year's theme: Shake, Rattle and Roll!
"It's a little bit of all of it," said Krewe organizer Joseph Hakim. "Some of the floats are themed with the swing era of the 50's, and some are themed with the 60's, diners and than era."
The Krewe anticipates as many as 52 entries for the 2012 parade. Among those entries are more than 20 floats and 10 high school marching bands.
In addition to local high school bands, Hakim said this year's Krewe of Janus parade has drawn bands from as far away as Fort Worth, Texas.
