The first game saw the OCS Lady Eagles edged the St. Frederick Lady Warriors 2-1 thanks to goals from Kali Miller and Anna McKoin.

Despite the loss, St. Frederick Head girls soccer coach Russ Parent was optimistic about his team's future.

"I thought we played well as a collective unit particularly in the first half," Coach Parent said. "These are two very good squads and hopefully we can build from this and move forward in a positive direction."

Gabby Kelly picked up St. Frederick's goal at the 25 minute mark of the 1st half.

Ouachita Christian's coach Donnie Williams although happy to get the win, still saw areas where he thought his team could improve.

"I thought we came out a little sluggish to start the game," Coach Williams said. "St. Frederick is a well coached ball club and we came in and looked like we hadn't played in a couple of weeks. We are just happy to get the win."
