Riverfront Development Commission takes shape A commission to govern development of property along the Ouachita River near downtown Monroe is taking shape, more than six months after the Louisiana Legislature approved its creation.

Monroe residents Gladys Smith, Bill Harrison, Brad Hollaway, Franz Hill, Duane Humphries and Earl Davis will begin organizational work immediately to get the commission off the ground.
