Confessions are your possessions

We possess what we confess. The state of our lives is highly influenced by what we talk about. I know we do not like to take credit for the state of our lives if our lives are in disarray, but there is a great deal of truth in the statement we possess what we confess. The Bible states that there is life and death in the power of the tongue. You are choosing between life and death by what you confess. The Word of God is a powerful witness to truth.

If we would analyze much of our conversations, we would find that we are either speaking from strength or weakness, from health or sickness, from wealth or poverty, from love or envy, from confidence or lack of confidence, and we could go on and on with the comparisons. But whether we are aware of it or not, our conversations, the way we talk, are our confessions. And whatever we confess the longest and the strongest becomes our possession.
