Throughout the 2011 season, Ouachita Parish quarterback Quentin Wheeler has provided the leadership, work ethic and athletic ability that earned him the 2011 Ouachita Parish Most Valuable Player-Offense award. Having started at quarterback for Ouachita the past three seasons, Wheeler rewrote the Ouachita Parish record books.

During his three years as starting quarterback for the Lions, Wheeler set records in the career categories of passing yardage and total offensive yardage for Ouachita Parish High School.

On his career, Wheeler completed 301 of 529 passes for 4,754 yards for 49 touchdowns and only 15 interceptions. Wheeler career numbers rushing are 400 carries for 2,725 yards for 39 touchdowns. Wheeler finished his career with 7,535 yards of total offense with 89 touchdowns.

Wheeler saved his best performance for his senior season. On the year, he completed 103 of 164 passes for 1,811 yards with 17 touchdowns and only four interceptions. Wheeler's quarterback rating was an impressive 117.3.
