Deputies arrest murder suspect
The Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office have arrested a suspect suspected in the murder of a south Monroe man.
Michael Lorenzo Barnett Jr., 20, of Monroe, was booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center on the charge of 2nd degree murder.
No bond had been set as of Wednesday afternoon.
Ouachita Parish Sheriff Royce Toney credited professional detective work by investigators and the assistance of the community with the prompt arrest.
