Quilters donate to CASA The North Louisiana Quilters' Guild of recently made a generous donation of quilts to CASA of Northeast Louisiana. The quilts came in a variety of sizes and each was handmade by a member of the Quilters' Guild. The quilts will be given to children in December as a part of the annual Center for Children and Families Christmas Project.
The Christmas Project provides Christmas gifts as well as clothing and necessities to underprivileged children in Northeast Louisiana. The Quilters' Guild has been a valued partner of CASA and The Center for Children and Families in recent years, donating over 100 quilts. The North Louisiana Quilters Guild is located in the Monroe/West Monroe area of North Louisiana.
The purpose of the Guild is to promote good fellowship among persons interested in the art of quilting; to preserve its tradition, culture and history; to further promote the knowledge and understanding of all aspects of quilting; and to enjoy and appreciate the art of others. .....For the full story, subscribe to the The Ouachita Citizen's NEW E-Edition! |
