Monroe City Schools Superintendent Kathleen Harris will live to fight another day after the Monroe City School Board opted not to place her on administrative leave.

At a regular meeting held at J.S. Clark Magnet School Tuesday night, the Monroe City School Board was expected to take the first of several steps needed to remove Harris as superintendent.

The School Board was expected to enter into executive session to take up the matter of Harris' continued employment with Monroe City Schools. It was Harris' decision on whether her future with Monroe City Schools would be discussed in executive session or in the public meeting.
