OPSB to receive bids for project Work could begin as soon as February on a $2.1-million expansion project at West Monroe High School.
At a regular meeting Tuesday of the Ouachita Parish School Board, business manager Juanita Duke told the School Board that bids will be opened Jan. 19 for a six-room addition at WMHS. The addition concerns the construction of a STEM building at the school, which will house science, technology, engineering and math classrooms, as well as labs and workspaces.
Roughly $1.9 million of the cost of building the new facility is courtesy of a federal grant.
