Dianne Cage: Dec. 15, 2011 Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas to everyone in North Louisiana! Is this the most wonderful time of the year? I just love it and get so excited. I don't know what to do first, decorate, cook, shop, write Christmas Cards, open my mail, make a list, or just fall on my knees and hear the angels sing! This has to be the most beautiful Fall I have seen in many years. The colors of our trees are brilliant jewel tones and have stayed long enough for all to enjoy! It had always been pretty but what has made it so special, I think, are the maples that have been introduced to this area — or I should say made available to us.
Speaking of North Louisiana, what about three Ouachita Parish teams winning the Louisiana State High School Football Championships in their respective divisions? I have heard that some people from South Louisiana have never heard of North Louisiana and have no idea of where it is, well, HELLO! I love that Ouachita Parish supports each other with heart felt enthusiasm! CONGRATULATIONS! Three teams, three titles! The Eagles! The Tigers! The Rebels! .....For the full story, subscribe to the The Ouachita Citizen's NEW E-Edition!
