LSU - SEC Champs The Honey Badger delivered in the LSU Tigers' quest for a fourth SEC championship in five attempts.
Tyrann Mathieu earned himself the SEC Championship Game MVP title with a punt return for a touchdown. Mathieu was also critical in setting up two more scores with a punt return and a fumble recovery, as the top-ranked
LSU Tigers buried No. 12 Georgia with a score of 42-10.
With Saturday's win, the Tigers advance to the BCS National Championship Game as the sole undefeated team in Division 1a college football.
In the Jan. 9 national championship game, the Tigers will square off against the No. 2 Univeristy of Alabama Crimson Tide (11-1).
The Tigers fell behindbehind 10-0 in a first quarter. However, as they began to shut down the Bulldogs' high powered attack, Mathieu's 62-yard touchdown salvaged a second quarter.
