Rebels roll West Monroe faces Carencro in 4th straight trip to the dome

The West Monroe Rebels struck early and endured a late comeback attempt by the Mandeville Skippers in route to a 26-14 semifinal win at Rebel Stadium.

With the win, the Rebels will make their fourth consecutive trip to the Louisiana Superdome to play the Carencro Golden Bears in the Class 5A state championship on Saturday.

Rebel senior quarterback Connor Osborne put forth one of his best efforts of the season against Mandeville with 86 rushing yards and 76 yards in the air. Osborne ran the two minute offense to put West Monroe up 16-0 going into the half.
