Unclaimed property list published
Some Ouachita Parish residents may get a financial boost this holiday season thanks in part to the state Treasurer's Office.
The Treasurer's Office will publish public notices this week in newspapers throughout Louisiana, listing more than $500 million in unclaimed property that's owed or belongs to individuals or businesses, according to State Treasurer John Kennedy.
"I encourage everyone to check the listings for your name and the names of your family members, friends and neighbors, too," said Kennedy. "The Treasury holds over $500 million that needs to be returned to its rightful owners."
